Folk Image is a web site devoted to the archive of Internet radio shows hosted and produced by Jeff Gill from 1997 to 2004. Here you will find nearly all of these shows, available for your enjoyment on demand. You will also find complete playlists and links to the artist or music label, as well as a few artist interviews and special features. After the demise of folk music on Walden 1120 AM in Concord, Massachusetts, Folk Image was created to preserve the station's old format and music library while pioneering a new international medium. At a time when live streaming of most radio stations was still a few years off, we opted for archived two-hour shows, with a new one appearing every two weeks to two months. Since November 2004, Jeff's media efforts have been focused on his cadre of home brewed radio signals and streams collectively known as Minimum Wage Media. Most notable are flagship station Troubadour 1710 and populist, pro-freedom, natural health talker Liberty & Justice 1640. Enjoy the music, along with some warm nostalgia from those creative, somewhat simpler days of an early Internet - one that we reached through a local ISP and a dial-up modem.
